I bought this for my 80 year-young mom after she was given an iPad for her birthday. Since I have NO experience with Apple products I was no help to her. This book is easy to read and explains things in language even I can understand without talking down to the reader. Just because the user is a senior doesn't mean they should be addressed like children. Thank you for a guide that respects seniors and encourages them to learn new technology!
Finally I can use my iPad. The instructions that were provided with the iPad were of a subminiature font size and faded out to the point of being unreadable. The iPad has just been sitting on my desk waiting for user instructions.Along came "iPad For Seniors for Dummies". This book has a readable font size and normal black print. It is in full color and covers everything I ever wanted to know about this iPad.Thank you Jesse Feiler for providing the ability to use my iPad.
Excellent! Even though I've been using an iPad for about six years, I learned a lot, and I enjoyed learning it. I found it particularly handy to have my new iPad Pro (the reason I got the book) beside me while reading. This book should be in everyone's library, whether they are experienced, or not.
Has some useful stuff but absolutely nothing about trouble shooting which is a necessity!
I come from a Win PC background, and was disappointed that the 1st thing I tried to figure out; how to transfer pictures from my Window Computer to the IPAD, they didn't even mention. They tell how to import from a digital camera and an SD card, but nothing about a computer. So far, the rest of the book has been helpful as this is my first IPAD,
My friends and I are enjoying this book and have found it to be very informative. We hold a "class" every day and hopefully with all of us together we will become "experts", at least we will be able to share our questions with each other.
